Areas of Use: Sodium stearoyl glutamate is used in cosmetic products to soften the skin and as an emulsifier. It helps keep the oil and water phases in balance. When used in higher amounts, it works as a surfactant.
It is quite effective at low concentrations. It is highly flexible and can be mixed into the oil phase or water phase, used in hot or cold process formulations, and used in a variety of applications. Made from 100% natural, renewable raw materials.
It is a powerful, anionic oil-in-water emulsifier of natural origin, containing no ethoxylated components. Aloe Vera shows exceptional compatibility with organic and inorganic electrolytes, such as various active ingredients and UV filters. It works well with water-soluble ingredients such as hydrolyzed proteins, fat-soluble ingredients such as vegetable oils, esters, waxes and silicones, and up to 2% sodium chloride. Other emulsifiers can be combined with polymers.
