HPMC is a kind of nonionic cellulose ether prepared from cellulose, a natural macromolecule material, through a series of chemical processes.
It has the properties of thickening, adhesion, dispersion, emulsification, film formation, suspension, adsorption, gelation, surface activity, water retention and protective colloid, is a thickener and binder. HPMC is widely used in construction, cosmetics, detergents, paints, textiles, etc.
HPMC, one of the most preferred chemicals in the construction chemicals industry, plays an important role in facilitating the production of mortar and increasing adhesion and strength.
It is used as an additive in interior and exterior wall covering applications, ceramic adhesives, sheathing adhesives and plasters, thermal insulation plasters and adhesives (EIFS), repair mortars and joint fillers, external insulation mortars, self-leveling, decorative and waterproof mortars.
Thanks to its improved consistency, it provides easier spreading and sagging resistance.
The most important feature of this chemical is that it retains water.
It allows the working time of the mortar to be adjusted by trapping a certain amount of water for a certain period of time.
It improves the consistency of the mortar, facilitates the carding process and increases the slip resistance.
