Areas of Use: It is a yellow liquid that increases the foaming ability of skin and hair care products. It also has the excellent benefit of acting as an emulsifier to allow essential oils and water to mix. By using Caprylyl/Capryl Glycoside, some heavy oils can also be mixed into your products as carrier oils.

It combines well with other glycosides to make a truly foaming shower gel/shampoo. Caprylyl/Capryl Glycoside provides a good balance between instant lather and heavier lather. Coconut and decylglucosides can be added to increase the density of the foam. Caprylyl/capryl glucoside is an excellent, mildly cleansing surfactant in your skin care products, as well as a highly effective solubilizing agent for essential and fragrance oils as well as cationic surfactants. Because of this dual purpose, Caprylyl/Capryl Glycoside is an excellent choice for the formulation of effervescent aromatherapy products.

Recommended Usage Level: 10% - 20% (Face Wash), 15% - 30% (Shower Gel / Bubble Bath / Shampoo)
