There is a disc of different patterns in the sugar paste gun, which is used in making rope, knitting, tape and hair.
The sugar dough, taken in the size of a walnut, is kneaded by hand until it becomes soft. Butter (at room temperature) is added to the well-softened sugar dough with the tip of a teaspoon and fed.
The reason for adding butter is that the sugar paste does not stick to the inside of the gun. (When the same process is tried with oil, the adhesion rate increases as the oil makes the sugar dough very soft)
After placing the desired disc on the tip of the gun, sugar paste is placed inside. As the gun is squeezed like a syringe, the processed dough starts to come out of its tip.
If the gun is too hard and it cannot be squeezed, it means that your dough is not soft enough. When the sugar paste is removed to the non-stick surface (silpat can be used) and it reaches the desired length, it is cut with the help of a knife.
