Use of:

Calcium chloride, also known as E509, is considered safe to use by the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Calcium chloride is generally used as an electrolyte and is salty; Calcium chloride can be found in sports drinks and other soft drinks. Preserving the structure of vegetables in canned products; It can be used in pickles and similar products to give a salty taste without increasing the sodium content of the food. Calcium chloride can also be found in confectionery products.

In cheese production, calcium chloride can be used to maintain the natural balance between calcium and protein by adding it to processed milk.
