These fibers are calorie-free and tasteless. Thus, when bamboo fiber is added to the food, there is no additional calorie addition.
More than 90% of bamboo fibers are water-insoluble fibers. They cannot be broken down by the body and swell in the stomach. They shorten the elimination of unwanted metabolic products from the body and the transit time through the intestines.
It improves the structure (shape) of food and reduces breakage. The fiber web increases durability and minimizes breakage in baked goods including pretzels, biscuits, pizza crackers and ice cream cones.
It reduces the amount of total fat and calories by reducing the oil absorption rate of the product during frying.
