Tips for Making Tarts
Tips for Making Tarts
- In order to obtain a perfect tart dough, care should be taken that all the ingredients used are very cold. Each ingredient should be removed from the refrigerator just before use. Flour , salt and powdered sugar should be added after cooling for at least half an hour.
- It is very important to prepare the dough with little kneading. It should be prepared in a mixer and should not be kneaded too much. It should be prepared in a very short time by starting the mixer once and stopping it once. Be fast while preparing and rolling the dough. Care should be taken to leave grains in the oil. Thus, a crispy but delicious tart dough will be obtained.
- For more delicious tarts, the dough should be kept in the refrigerator for 2 hours after preparation. If possible, resting it in the refrigerator for 30-45 minutes after placing it in the tart mold will increase the flavor.
- Care should be taken to use very little flour when rolling out the dough. Before putting it in the mold , the excess flour on it should be cleaned with the help of a brush. Excess flour causes the dough to be hard after baking.
- Care should be taken to ensure that the dough is of equal thickness everywhere. At this stage , immerse your hands in ice water frequently so that the oil inside does not melt. Do this process fairly quickly and repeat.
