Important points in candle making;
-For candle making, the working environment should be prepared first.
-Bain-marie melting method is preferred. Since paraffin consists of petroleum and its derivatives, microwave melting etc. is not suitable.
-1 kg paraffin is prepared and melted in accordance with the bain-marie melting method by adding 100 gr stearic acid.
-You should definitely not leave it unattended during melting. When it is completely melted, you can put its coloring and essence.
Points to be considered;
- It is a structure consisting of paraffin oil and its derivatives.
- It has flammable, combustible, explosive properties. Therefore, it should not be done in environments where children are present.
- You should never touch your hand into it while melting.
- If the person making the candle has long hair, he should be able to protect himself against any possible burning.
- During the melting of the paraffin, you should have a moist towel with you, in case of any spark, no attempt should be made to extinguish it with water.
